PATCH 1.11.0 NOTES:
Naxxramas Necropolis Released!
The towering bastion of the Scourge has been breached, and brave adventurers (MANY brave adventurers) may now seek to challenge the untold might of the Lich King's liason in Azeroth: the Champion Lich, Kel'Thuzad.
Naxxramas holds many unholy secrets within its darkened halls, including catacombs that chitter with the eerie calls of the undead Nerubians, a bloody abbatoir that is the origin point of the fearsome Abominations, and the Halls of the Damned, where the Scourge's most feared warriors are trained.
It would be best to shield yourself against the chills of death, for it is said that Kel'Thuzad's mastery over ice magic exceeds that of any other mortal ever to have walked our world.

The Lich King's forces surge forth as Kel'Thuzad prepares his undying armies to invade Azeroth. Be on the lookout for mindless minions of the Scourge wherever darkness holds sway...
Night Falls over Lordaeron!
The Scourge's evil influence has fallen over the Plaguelands, and whatever bastions of hope that once held out there have been consumed and subverted. Scarlet Crusade and Argent Dawn forces alike have been slain and risen again, calling themselves the Argent Dusk. These soldiers of evil seek only to annihilate all life on Azeroth and produce more bodies for the Scourge. Cast out and left to walk in the shadows, they serve only the Lich King and are reviled by all sentient life on Azeroth, save their own brothers.
It is whispered that those of truly darkened hearts may seek to join the ranks of the Argent Dusk. However, allying yourself to these Plagueland ravagers is considered high treason against the Horde or Alliance, and doing so will turn both factions against you. Dare you forsake all your allegiances and swear your very soul to the evil of the Scourge?
General
- Several tooltips updated.
- You are no longer kept in combat if you are on the hatelist of an NPC that your party is not fighting.
- Fixed issues where Flare, Eyes of the Beast, Mind Vision and other similar effects could cause aggro.
- Cost to repair items is now based on item level. This should result in a slight return of parity to cloth repair costs versus plate repair costs.
- NPCs now possess Holy Resistance that scales with level. Players can only increase this resistance through rare equipment.
- Wand damage will now receive a small percentage of the user's bonuses to spell damage. For example, a Fire wand will now benefit from its user's equipment that confers increased damage to Fire spells and effects.
PvP & Battlegrounds
- Several terrain exploits fixed in Alterac Valley and Arathi Basin.
- Korrak the Bloodrager and his Winterax trolls have decided they preferred the icy expanse of Alterac Valley, and have re-joined the battle. Beware of them in the Field of Strife.
- Don Rodrigo's Band has been improved.
- Honor awarded for kills outside of battlegrounds has been tripled. In accordance, ranking up will now be slightly more difficult.
- Civilian NPCs will now never assist non-Civilian NPCs and will not be hit by area of effect spells or abilities.
- The honor penalty for a Dishonorable Kill has been tripled.
- Marshals, Grand Marshals, Warlords and High Warlords now give off auras that provide benefits to "town guard" NPCs within range. These auras do not provide benefits to players, and are intended to make World PvP more challenging and enjoyable.
- Continued attacks on towns will now bring repercussions from the armies of the attacked faction. You've been warned...
Druids
- Equipment that regenerates mana over time will now work when the Druid is in a form that does display mana.
- Moonkin Form will now confer a mana regeneration bonus during the night. This bonusonly applies while outdoors.
- The drop rate of Gorishi Sting for the level 50 Druid quest has been increased.
- The stun from the Improved Starfire talent will no longer diminish its own duration.
Hunters
- Added Entrap pet ability for Spiders. This ability sprays the target with webbing, resetting the target's melee timer. Higher ranks decrease Entrap's focus cost.
- Added Mocking Yowl pet ability for Hyenas. This ability taunts the target, forcing him to attack the Hyena for a short time. Higher ranks increase the duration.
- The stun from the Improved Concussive Shot talent will no longer diminish its own duration.
- Wyvern Sting's duration has been increased.
Mages
- Due to significant talent changes, all Paladins' talent points will be refunded and can be respent. Training costs for all talent spell/ability replacements have been significantly reduced.
- Arcane Explosion is now always instant cast.
- New Spell: Mage Mantle. This is a self-cast buff that decreases the spell resistances of the Mage's enemies. Mage Mantle does not stack with Frost Armor, Ice Armor, or Mage Armor.
- The stun from the Impact talent will no longer diminish its own duration.
- Each hit of Arcane Missiles now has a chance to proc Clearcasting if the caster has the Arcane Concentration talent.
- Conjure Water rank 7 will now cost no mana and will generate 20 waters per cast. Reagent cost added.
- The mana cost and effect of Conjure Water rank 6 have been slightly increased.
- Mages will now deal slightly more spell damage to Demons and Elementals.
- The target of a Mage's Polymorph spell will now only wander in a very tight circle. It will be very difficult for a sheep to aggro another group of NPCs. However, Polymorph now generates significantly more threat.
Paladins
- Both the healing and mana regeneration from Seal/Judgement of Light/Wisdom have been increased.
- New icon added for Holy Shock.
- Consecration will now generate significantly more threat.
- Seal of Justice's stunning effect will no longer diminish its own duration.
Priests
- Shadowform will now confer a slight increase in damage done by Shadow spells during the night. This bonus only applies while outdoors.
- It will now be easier for players to resist being Mind Controlled.
- Quests are now required to obtain a race's second ability (Elune's Grace, Feedback, Devouring Plague, etc.)
- The damage coefficient for Smite and Holy Fire has been re-evaluated.
- The stun caused by the Blackout talent no longer diminishes its own duration.
Rogues
- It is now more difficult for Rogues to be disarmed.
- If a Rogue stuns a target more than 4 times in the same combat, that target receives the Roughed Up debuff, which gives the Rogue a chance on successful melee hit to daze the target for 3 seconds. Most bosses are immune to being Roughed Up.
- The cost of Rogue reagents that are bought from vendors has been decreased.
- The stun caused by the Mace Specialization talent no longer diminishes its own duration.
Shaman
- The chance for Purge to be resisted has been increased.
- Earth Shock and Frost Shock's damages have been decreased. Flame Shock's damage has been increased.
- Fixed a bug where Shamans were no longer dying in combat...just kidding.
Warlocks
- The stun caused by the Pyroclasm talent no longer diminishes its own duration.
- Death Coil's mana cost has been increased.
- The Searing Pain and Soul Fire damage coefficients have been re-evaluated.
Warriors
- The stuns caused by the Mace Specialization and Improved Revenge talents no longer diminish their own durations.
- The graphical effect of Retaliation is now no longer quite so obvious.
- Fixed a number of bugs with Unbridled Wrath - it will now function properly.
Quests & Reputation
- The Argent Dusk faction has been added, with many interesting questlines. Beware - those who seek favor with the Dusk risk the anger of all of Azeroth. The Kill-On-Sight status earned by being a member of the Argent Dusk applies whether on a PvE, PvP, RP or RP-PvP server alike.
- There is a new questline in Western Plaguelands that begins not far from the ruins of Chillwind Camp. Those who have wondered what connection there may be between Don Julio, Don Rodrigo, and Don Mauricio will now find the truth...
