Abilities
Viscidus:
- He has significant defensive abilites, all damage taken is reduced by 50%.
- AoE Nature attack (Poison shock) for ~1200 Nature damage every 10 seconds or so. This has a radius of 10-15 yards, so be very careful to stay away when not trying to shatter him once frozen.
- Poison Volley, AoE spell cast every 10 seconds that hits for ~1500 resistable Nature damage on hit and will apply a dispellable DoT that does ~500 Nature damage every 2 seconds, for 10 seconds. Similar to Lord Kri and Princess Huhuran.
The volley can not be avoided by going out of LoS, and has a range of about 100 yards, therefore it is impossible to avoid it and Nature resist gear becomes a huge requirement for the entire raid. The DoT seems to be very hard to resist, and must be dispelled immediately from the entire raid.
- Toxin clouds, these will be spewed out every 30 seconds or so. While in the cloud, you will be hit with ~1500 unresistable damage every 2 seconds, and slowing your movement speed to 60% of normal. Similar to Lord Kri's death cloud.
Globs of Viscidus:
- 20 at a time will spawn when Viscidus is shattered.
- 10,000 Health

Viscidus is vulnerable to Frost (spells/abilities and/or just Frost damage), therefore mages are at a premium for this fight.
The "script" of this fight requires the raid to get as many frost attacks into Viscidus as possible so that he will go through several emotes and freeze. After he is frozen, a number of melee attacks must be done to shatter him into 20 or so small blobs. The raid must then kill these blobs in order to reduce Viscidus' health.
The triggering for his normal state into frozen seems to be a hitcounter of 250~ Frost based attacks/spells/abilities.
The triggering for him to shatter once frozen seems to be a hitcounter of 100-150(Maybe less in 1.10) melee hits, regardless of damage.
It would also seem all stages got a 15 second time-limit, if you fail to reach the next stage after that he reverts to his previous one, so time is of the essence.
The Three Frost Stages:
"Viscidus begins to slow." - 15% total movement and attack speed reduction
"Viscidus begins to freeze." - 30% total movement and attack speed reduction
"Viscidus is frozen solid." - Viscidus stops moving and attacking completely
At this point the raid must switch to melee attacks to shatter him.
The Three Melee Stages:
"Viscidus begins to crack."
"Viscidus looks ready to shatter."
"Viscidus explodes."
When Viscidus shatters, he splits up into 20 small "Globs of Viscidus" which are scattered throughout the room in a circular fashion. These Globs will begin to move towards the center of the room, slow at first, but continuously and steadily gathering speed.
Each Glob has aproximately 10,000 or so health. If CC is not an option, focus fire would seem to be the most effective way to eliminate them. For each Glob you manage to kill before they reach the center, Viscidus will lose 5% of his health. Since you can now kill them in the middle(AoE) without him gaining health(unless they despawn before you kill them) you have to kill atleast 18-20 to have a chance.
Once you've made him split and gotten him low you have to dps him to 1% before next freeze. Once he's at 1% you freeze him up and break him and then he dies.
