You're either a level 10 or below summoner who hasn't played since January 1, 2012, or a level 5 or below summoner who's been inactive since January 1, 2013. Your name will be reclaimed and made available to other players unless you log in to League of Legends by May 12th and play one game. 

If you miss this date, don't worry: your account and all purchases attached to it will stick around. You'll just have to choose a new name next time you log in.

Since you've been gone, we've been hard at work: 

• New champs - so far in 2013 four new champions have joined the League: Thresh, Quinn and Valor, Zac, and Lissandra


• The Howling Abyss - The community favorite ARAM mode has been incorporated into matchmaking and given a map all its own


• Smart ping - Our new smart ping system makes it easier to communicate to your teammates when you're on your way, an enemy is missing, danger, or when you need help
