X-Com got me in knee deep trouble!!!
Playing X-com last night , doing alittle levelling up for my squad.
Like everyone here, I rename and customize to soldiers so they named and resemble friends and family.
My friends, brother , wife, co-workers, hell even some of my favorite UFC fighters get slapped in.
(Anyone think to make a Chuck Liddel assault yet??)
Anyhow, my wife, who knows I rename all my characters, always asks how her character is doing.
So while I'm scrolling through my characters in the barracks , trying to find her , my wife yells "STOP"
I knew in that moment, I was sleeping on the couch.
The soldier on the screen was named "Jill Hicks"
She was from Germany , tall and blonde.
It was a completely random name and soldier I had yet to customize.
Problem is we know a real Jill Hicks, who is tall and blonde. It's my ex girlfriend, who still makes advances at me when we happen to be at social events and run into eachother.
My spider sense goes crazy and I attempt to run damage control. It's way to late for that.
The wife simply walks up stairs and puts out a sheet and pillow on the couch and doesn't say a word to me all night.
I call up my buddy, telling him of the situation.... You know what he said?
"That's xcom baby"
