견우직녀 설화의 현대적 해석

견우와 직녀의 이야기는 동북아를 관통하는 고전 설화의 하나다. 그 기원은 중국으로, 으레 그렇듯이 한국, 일본 등지로 전해졌고 각각 나름대로 약간의 변형을 거쳤지만 하늘에 사는 신혼부부가 직무태만으로 벌을 받아 이별, 까마귀의 도움을 받아 만나게 된다는 큰 틀만은 변함없이 전해지고 있다. 이러한 유사성은 칠월칠석 풍습에 있어서도 반복된다. 가장 오래된 것은 ≪형초세시기(荊楚歲時記)≫에서 발견되므로, 7세기 초 내지는 그 전부터 존재해왔을 것으로 추정된다.

등장인물은 옥황상제, 견우, 직녀, 그리고 말하는 까마귀 정도면 충분할 정도로 단순한 프레임이다. 뜻풀이 또한 간단하다. 심지어 그 이름 또한 견우는 소를 치는 목동이니 견우고, 직녀는 베 짜는 여인이라 직녀다. 이 단순한 이야기에 있어서 흥미로운 점은 단 한가지다. 사랑하는 남자와 여자가, 서로 만날 수 없다는 사실이다.

Prussian generals were always important figures in war of that time. The saying that ‘Prussia was not a country with an army, but an army with a country’ depicts it. Among them, Heinz Wilhelm Guderian and Carl Philipp Gottfried von Clausewitz are undoubtedly the most popular and most influential figures.
Heinz Wilhelm Guderian, founder of German Panzer division in WW2 is surely a figure who influenced modern armor warfare. His book, Achtung - Panzer! is a collection of his lectures which he had deployed in 1920-1930s. He focused on panzers’ speed and cross-country performance. His argument was that tank cannot perform its decisive role in a support role of other slower elements of the army, infantry and artillery and He convinced that engines also can be effective as tanks main guns. He led 2nd panzer division in France and performed action based on his own theory even though it was sometimes against OKW’s direct order and gained the nickname ‘Fast Heinz’ among his soldiers.
Carl Philipp Gottfried von Clausewitz, author of famous book ‘on war’, is a figure who tried to explain war in a systematic and comprehensive way. Even he didn’t concern with technology or economics, his view that war is a continuation of policy by other means became one of the most famous aphorisms in military theory and history.
