Valve announced today that the first Left 4 Dead downloadable content and the much anticipated SDK will be made available this spring season. The new content, dubbed "The Survival Pack," is set to feature a completely new style of gameplay (entitled "Survival") and two campaigns for the Versus mode.

오늘 밸브가 처음으로 Left 4 Dead의 다운로드가능한 콘텐츠와 SDK가
이번 봄 시즌에 풀린다고 발표하였다.
"The Survival Pack"란 새로운 콘텐츠는 또다른 새로운 스타일의 게임플레이와
("Survival") 그리고 VS 모드에 2개의 캠페인을 넣었다고한다.

A "Critics Choice" edition of the game will be made commercially available as well that will include this pack and all previous updates.

또한 "Critics Choice"란 에디션을 곧 발매해 "The Survival Pack"과 전에 업데이트
되었던것을 포함해 내 놓은다고 한다.


"Since Half-Life launched in 1998, Valve has made continuous efforts to expand the offering of its products beyond what's included on the day of launch," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve. "With Half-Life and Counter-Strike, and more recently Team Fortress 2, we've learned that we're no longer making stand-alone games but creating entertainment services. With Left 4 Dead we're extending that tradition by creating additional gameplay and releasing our internal tools to aspiring developers so they may also create and distribute new Left 4 Dead experiences."
Along with the new game content will come the SDK, allowing amateur developers to get their new maps, models, and mods into the game.

No information on pricing has been made available, but it's Valve tradition to release new content free of charge. Left 4 Dead has won 25 awards to date with more than 1.8 million retail sales since its November release (this doesn't include Steam sales).
가격에 대해선 정보가 없지만, 밸브의 원래 새로운 컨텐츠는 무료라고 합니다.
Left 4 Dead는 25개의 상을 받으며 1백 8십만이상의 리테일판이 11월 릴리즈부터
